Wainwright doesn't look sharp at all.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it

Kozma won't be seeing much action during the rest of the series. He was sneaking a peek at Pedroia on the aborted double play and took his eye off the ball.

Every bit of Co-ard failure is delicious to me.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

That's pretty much how it's shaking out for me as well.  I went in not choosing a side but quickly remembered how much I hate the Jakes.
Don't think twice, it's alright.

I realized I can root for pretty much any red sox other than Victorina.  I can't root for any of the Jakes.

I guess I'm weird, but I just cannot pull for Boston. I have a grudging respect for St. Louis, and I'd rather see a National League victory over any American League team other than the Astros, so I'm pulling for the Cardinals.

I find it easier to root for the Jakes now since my time here in Tampa has given me an acidic dislike for all things Boston, sports-wise.

Boston is sucking on sour grapes if they think that interference should not have been called.

Boston fans never think their teams have done anything wrong. The Celtics never foul, Brady's interceptions are because the defense interfered, the Bruins are squeaky-clean, etc, etc.

You got that right. Allen Craig wouldn't have been picked off. That run was meaningless. Why take a chance?

You were spot on here. He was pretty good, but he just wasn't good enough to beat Lester. Will this series even go seven games?

If the curveball does hang, the batter will bang.

The pitcher hurls the hanging curve,
The batter, he's no dope.
He waits until the ball doth swerve,
Then strokes the frozen rope.

Welcome to the Hot Stove League and the Void.

Void?  Perth Heat had their home opener last night and hammered Sydney 8 - 0.  The night was warm, the beer was cold and the baseball was fantastic.  Most ABL games are streamed on the net if you need to a live baseball fix.  It isn't MLB but it is live baseball!

I am sure you will love the commentary that goes with the broadcast.  They are showing the second game of today's double header, if my calculations are correct it will be about 0620 local (Houston) time?

And Perth wins the ABL Championship!

http://web.theabl.com.au/index.jsp?sid=t4068

Yes Sir! And it was pretty damn sweet.  Three game series to decide it, we won the first in 14 innings.  Problem was that they shut the bar after 8 1/2 so it was pretty tense for a number of reasons...  The second game was pretty tight too but the good guys prevailed in the end.

It was Perth's 3rd title in 4 years.  What made it especially nice was that Canberra won it last year with the advantage of having the rules regarding imports waived for them.  In last years championship series there were times they only had 2 Aussies on the field, what a farce.  The thing I love about Perth is that our local guys are not just there to make up numbers, they get it done.

Astros related - Cameron Lamb (Astros prospect) came out of the bullpen in both games and got the job done.
