I think Prado was going to take that role. Juan Francisco would've been next on their list but he gets absolutely raped by southpaws. I guess it'll be a platoon situation even though CJ doesn't exactly light the world up against them either.
Once it became apparent the versatile Prado would be included, the Braves needed to get Johnson, who will likely share time with Juan Francisco at third base and strengthen the Braves' bench.
