Best Way to Get to Plano from Houston

Heading up 45, do I take the 20/635 Loop or just hack through the centre of town, 45 to 75?

Leaving Houston at about 1pm, so I'll be hitting Dallas right around rush hour.

The loop is probably as bad or worse than 75. If you are stressed out about it you could try to switch over to the tollway, but you are probably best just sucking it up and taking 75.

45 to 75 if east Plano and you're not arriving at rush hour.
45 to the Tool Road if your destination is further west. Toll tag works there.

And if you don't have a toll tag, you should get a bill in about a month. It's a few cents more for those without tags.
