I swear that Tony D picks his lineups and batting order out of a hat. There's just no explanation of it.

Is Paredes hurt or did he piss someone off?

I don't know. Since I no longer have my mlb extra innings package, I rely upon the denizens here for club news. I haven't heard anything about Paredes being hurt.

I think its been awhile since he got a start. I'm not fond of this manager though.

What happened to Abad? Did he get hurt throwing a pitch? The Angel of Doom is on to pitch.

Couldn't tell. Threw a fastball and then looked uncomfortable. Big crowd at the mound and then he came out.

Angel of Doom is right on cue tonight, serving up a triple, which plates a run.

Angel of Doom promptly gives up a run-scoring triple. Scott Moore is slower than fuck in RF.

It takes some doing to lose ten games out of the bullpen when you're neither a setup man nor a closer.

Triple. Home run. Home run. At least AoD isn't getting cheated on the hits that he's surrendered.

Why is AoD hitting to go back out there when he's already gone 2.1 innings? I don't get this manager.

It's a morale-killer. The job involves a lot of sitting around, and then a few minutes of Terror and Fear, then a lot of sitting around, then a little more T & F. Having something to do in between is something we've done for the twelve years I've been doing this, but the people we have a contract with are psychotic fools and the people I work for directly are completely craven assholes. It's been a treat since these fuckers came on board.

JD just mused that they might take a look at him as a starter next year, and that he needs fastball command to do it. Says he has a good curveball.

It sounds like those in charge have never been in the situation that you're in. A lack of understanding often leads to arbitrary and capricious edicts that don't make sense. And they'll be depriving me of your company, which sucks!

The people we have the contract with have always been ridiculous, but my bosses used to a) understand morale and b) know how to ease them back into sanity. My current bosses don't give a damn about morale. They've had to replace some people already and they found it to be extremely difficult; that was completely ignored when this last little episode popped up. They're fools.

Some people know how to manage and some don't.

I'm banking on a friend of mine winning the contract back when it opens up, and if that happens things will be much, much better. It's at least a year away though.

Checking in. I'm not happy either. Softball team lost, I went 0-for-3: K looking (on a 3-2 pitch that bounced), K swinging (well, it is fast-pitch), called out on an attempted bunt single (bang-bang play). After the game I got a migraine, so we had to scrap our plans to go see The Master. To top it all off, I've had to watch several innings of Fernando Rodriguez surrendering homers to the likes of Pete Kozma Kramer and Neck-tat "suddenly I'm a HR hitter" Molina.

He's definitely got some exploitable weaknesses with his bat that he's going to have to surpass, or he's a AAAA player like I think that he is.

Ouch.

Since August 1, Bogusevic is 10-69 (.145). That's Luis Pujols bad. He hasn't hit a home run since June and is hitting below .200 since July 1.

Remember the 1978 season when Pujols hit .131 as the backup catcher? He had 153 official plate appearances and only 20 hits to show for them. Eww.

Bogey would be smart to throw some bullpen sessions over the winter. Perhaps he'll be able to catch on with the Skeeters as a RP/4th OF, maybe pick up some tips from Jason Lane whilst there.
