Wow, the Astros actually don't have anybody 1-8 tonight who's batting lower than .240 (the cleanup hitter, of course). That might be the first in a while.

We're in the bottom of the 7th, Cards up 3-0. They've got a man on 1st with no outs, and Kozmo Kramer (or somebody Kozma) at the plate.

There's been the usual slap-dickery in the field by the Astros: JD getting outfoxed by the LF wall to produce a triple(!) for Neck-tat Molina, Altuve jogging after a ball that bounced off his glove so that Holliday to make it to third, the usual sort of stuff. But Dominguez made a really nice play on a bad-hop ball to his left to start a DP. I really like what I see of his defense.

Well, now it's B8 and the score's still 4-1, so apparently we didn't get the job done.

Freese just blew up his bat on a dribble up the middle and winds up with a single as Astros go jumping over pieces of lumber (Valdez is in to pitch). DeScalso up.
