Race for the Lid
« on: April 07, 2012, 10:13:57 am »
At opening night last night I told GBB that if the Astros won 80 or more games, I'd buy everyone there a hat.  Offer stands.  In the meantime, in the absence of both BG and any reason to actually have a contest this year, you can post worthless predictions here.  Usual rules.  BG runs the contest when she returns.  93.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

70. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Last year after Opening Day I predicted 9 wins. They exceeded my expectations. I hope they do the same again.

The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

It had to be suspended *last* season too.
