Hampy Would Be Proud

This happened tonight in Amsterdam.  With Ajax playing AZ, a fan ran onto the pitch to attack the AZ goalie.  Well, the goalie went “Big Chris” on the fan and got sent off for his trouble.  The AZ team walked off in protest and the match was abandoned.

Ungentlemanly conduct, or some such.  Apparently, the pundit consensus was that the first kick was defensive - and thus ok - but the Scottish martial art of Fuk Yoo he engaged in thereafter was unnecessary and deserving of the red card.  That explanation actually makes sense to me.
