Diamondbacks sign a pitcher
« on: December 11, 2011, 12:36:15 am »
Jason Lane has signed to pitch for Arizona according the mlbrumors.com. Hope he does well except when he pitches against the Astros.

Quote
•Baseball America's Matt Eddy reports that the Diamondbacks have signed former Astros outfielder Jason Lane as a left-handed pitcher. The 34-year-old hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2007, but he made the move to the mound this past season. Todd Dewey of the Las Vegas Journal-Review chronicled the conversion back in August.

The worst thing about free speech is that everyone gets it. The same concept applies to idiots on the internet.

Jesus? He'd be a pretty good addition, but I'm pretty sure another team hammered out a deal with him a long time ago.

So the answer here is NO, the Astros are not going to make any free agent moves.  My sources include everyone in baseball, all media that cover baseball, and the Astros new ownership.

See Serrano, Jose. I didn't realize that the AllState "good hands" guy played Serrano until just recently.

You mean President Palmer.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
