If it helps...  Chris Wallace (LEX) has apparently gotten tired of hitting HRs and 2Bs. Is 3-3 on the night with 2 triples... BOX SCORE

You know what? I love Angel but I'm ready for Barmes' glove over there.

Yep, 'twas a clank, but still a sweet recovery!

And no the Bad News 'Stros let another out go by the wayside... How many outs do the Brewers have this inning, 5?

I've reached a happy place by streaming the Grateful Dead 5/8/77 show from Cornell University.

And now the sausages are racing around the infield. Life is good, even if the Astros aren't.

I like the cut of Valdez' jib. I think he could be a valuable piece of a future puzzle.

I hate The Peen.

Who, Braun? I know everyone around here hates him and I know why he's hated but he is such a good hitter and has such a beautiful swing that I simply can't summon the hate that you guys enjoy. I know he's a prick. I know he's a showboat. I know.

This idiot who lived on my floor the first year of college had the nickname Peen. I'm not sure how it started but any time anything good happened he'd throw the front of his shirt up over his head Beavis-style and vigorously rub his chest as if he were a giant dick and he was masturbating himself. My indelible memory of him is one where he's wearing a Lakers shirt. The Lakers were his favorite team. He was from Miami. Yes, he was a total fuckwit. He went on to become a high-powered Republican operative in Florida.

On Pence's throw home that preceded the rundown Valdez was wandering around aimlessly in front of the mound. What the fuck did he think he was doing. Back the catcher up, dumbass.

Once a dick always a dick?

Speaking of dicks there's a hilarious video of Peen interviewing Rudy Giuliani. I can only watch so much of those two fuckers but the beginning is awesome. Peen introduces Lispy to the camera (it's some sort of make-believe internet interview show) and sort of leans in for some reason. Lispy thinks Peen's going to shake his hand so he sticks his hand out. Peen has no such intentions, though, and sort of leans back, leaving Lispy hanging. Lispy looks around confused for a moment before retracting his hand, claw, hoof or whatever he has. Peen sort of senses his confusion and becomes even more confused than he already was.

I'm going from memory here. I may be exaggerating some of this but I don't think so. Let me see if I can find it.

I hope a two-game win streak isn't the high point of the season. This game is dreadful.

Well, that's pretty much the lowest of the low: Fielder beats out a double-play ball to 2B.

Then again, that's what I thought after B5... and B6...

wish castro hasn't blown out his knee,  but Q and towles have been a pleasant surprise offensively this year.

Just watched Berkman double in the STL/CIN game.  He does not look like the same guy.  Really fit, arms much different, runs so much quicker.

I wish he had decided to do whatever it took when he was here.  Instead he got lazy and got then offended when the Astros did not re-sign him for big bucks.

I would exchange today's Wallace for today's Berkman without thinking twice.

If he'd played like today's Berkman he'd still be in Houston. He didn't.

Even if he had I'm not sure they would have paid him.

I'm thinking Mills owes Arnsberg a couple of sixers tonight.

Probably not. Might've even brought a better return than he did. I'm not complaining though, we all thought he was done and brittle enough that even if he wasn't, the party wasn't going to last. Which may still be the case.

i have an idea.  no offseason flag football, don't show up to camp with a bum knee and 20 pounds overweight
and don't complain when the Astros decide not to resign you after hitting .248 with 12 (i think) home runs the year before.  it will
be a bummer seeing him come to MMP with the turds, but i am fine with the way the Astros handled things with him last year.

he has nowhere to hide with pujols at 1B.  i still don't think he plays 150 games in RF this year.

This seems to be a fine opportunity for Melancon's ERA to go stratospheric.

He got fucked on that ball four call. Man, that was a good pitch.

Now he's nowhere close.

Now hold on here a minute. This place is 90% empty. Am I supposed to believe there's something better to do in Milwaukee on a Friday night?
