I hope they don't need six firemen tonight (or even four), but it's a possibility.

I haven't seen enough of JaaaaaayHapp to know how he gets it done, but his "stuff" doesn't seem all that great.  He just gets people out.  Anyone care to explain the art of pitching as it pertains to Mr. Happ?

So through 5 Halladay has a 2-hitter and Happ has a 1-hitter?

So, does that mean 2 shots at Griffs, or does a Bourn HR merit a double?

I think Brownie was right...Mills is thinking..."I gotta get 8 more outs...everyone is available, if I only ask them to get one or two outs, but no one can go two innings".

Actually not entirely rue. Round Rock only down 2-0 in the 4th (and Lancaster just beginning the game).

Flipping channels for a moment, the Pearland, TX Little Leaguers are leading Washington 4-1 in the top of the 4th, with TX at bat. If TX wins, they go to the USA final.

Happ beats Halladay. Lyon with a 2 out save. Bourn and Pence with solo shots. Astros lead the series 3-0. AWESOME!

Thanks for the PBP there HH.

That was a complete game by me, wasn't it?  It's fun on nights like tonight.  I'll tell you...if you haven't loved watching the Astros the last few nights, you're no fan of baseball.

Damn I feel good tonight.  Astros playing like champs, and it's a beautiful night here in the Tall City...about 70 degrees right now.  S'posed to get in the 50's tonight!

I haven't seen enough of JaaaaaayHapp to know how he gets it done, but his "stuff" doesn't seem all that great.  He just gets people out.  Anyone care to explain the art of pitching as it pertains to Mr. Happ?

Like many pitchers who don't have swing and miss stuff, Happ requires good command. But he has a good game plan. He gets ahead with pitches down in the zone, and then he throws his riding heater above the hands. It's tough for a hitter who's behind in the count to lay off that pitch.

On a side note...this Ramon Allones is quite tastey.

I hope he had the goddamn courtesy to give you a reacharound.

All b.s. aside, how long has it been since we've seen a stretch of Stros baseball this entertaining?  I lost much interest earlier this summer, but the past few weeks have been a joy to watch, wins, losses and standings be damned.

Shit, I've loved the season and how it has progressed. I've not lost one iota of interest in the club, even when they were a traveling horseshit show. I've seen worse Astros teams before.
