It's time for another Austin SnS gathering! Come out to Third Base on Monday night, July 26 to see which team will shit the bed on FSN-HD!

It'll be great to see everyone there and hopefully see some members who haven't met yet. Will JackAstro make it? Will Taras come back into the fold? No doubt we'll be making remote postings to the GZ for those Central-Texas-challenged folks.

We have an area reserved for us as the 'Astro Watch Group' and we'll even have audio for this one, so clearly Third Base is impressed with our ability to float their electric bill for July.

Shouldn't the correct abbreviation of "Austin Spikes 'n' Stars" be "ASS"?

Also, in my experience, Shiner always helps with getting to third base.

Since no one offered up their frequent flyer miles to me, I will not be attending. In the spirit of alcohol and Austin celebrations, however, I am pleased to note that (while running an errand for a friend) I saw not one, but two, lonely bottles of Tito's Vodka sitting on the top shelf of a liquor store here in the suburbs of Portland. I'm pleased to announce that both bottles have now found a freezer to call home, and will be treated with the love and respect that both have so duly earned.

Just checked the rotation and we'll be watching Carlos Silva battling The Kid, as Wesley Wright gets his second start in the Mud 'n Blood, and both will be vs. FTC. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.

It's looking more and more like I won't make it there any sooner than 8:30ish (might still be sooner, like straight up 8 if I'm lucky). But so far, all systems go unless I have what is now becoming the normal "Horrible Monday" at work.

We had a great time watching the no-hitter and the futility of Your 2010 Houston Astros, but our mojo wasn't strong enough to bring home a win for The Good Guys. Thanks to all who could make it and I think there was a consensus to try to do this on a more than annual basis.

We talked about doing a Wednesday, but nobody is sure whether the good Wednesday mojo is stronger than our bad-ASS mojo.
