Why aren't you going?  I'm not going b/c we will be in Croatia that weekend.

Yep.  Will be at the Sunday game.

Not sure if the team's record means I should not wear a jersey (due to the ridicule I would receive), or actually makes it safer to wear the jersey (because we sure as hell won't be a threat to the Yankees or their fans).

Yankee fans are pretty much used to there being thousands of enemy fans at every game.   You might take some minor ribbing, but I doubt it.

Feel free to remind most of them that they traveled as far as you did to watch that game.
