I was chatting with some folks about this a while back.  There's been the O's Bros, the Little Pumas, El Caballitos, a short-lived Wolf Pack, Blum's Blondes and a bunch of people in the 3rd base field boxes holding up signs for Matsui which I have no idea how to translate.  The Killer B's was adopted by the team, but otherwise Biggio and Bagwell have no fan/stalker group.  All of these were fan-driven, and never supported by the club (although they cut the O's Bros some slack, and let them set up in a handicapped section, as long as no one else needs it).

Pence is the only player to have a fan group created for him by the club.  The front office took a look at this very enthusiastic young man, and his appeal to the uninformed and pre-pubescent, and decided that he was going to be the guy going forward.  There may have been opportunities to trade him when his stock was high(er), but that was never going to happen because he was the focus of the team's marketing.  He still is.

The irony will be that, if this team continues to struggle offensively, and Pence along with it, he will be the "Face of the Franchise".

x2.  I got a free copy of Civ 1 with a new sound board I bought for my new x86 in the early 90's.  Been a huge fan every since, though I have successfully avoided all contact for the last 6 months, I know it is there waiting for me....lurking.

Yep.  Civ IV has kicked my ass pretty well.  Of course, once kid #2 came, I had to drop it completely.

There's even a Civ out for the iPhone now. It's not very fun because the screen is so small, but it's good for killing time. Civ II is the one that got me hooked, and I've stayed hooked through III and IV. I have no doubt whatsoever that Civ V will do the same.

There's also a dumbed-down version of Civ for the Xbox360 called Civilization Revolution that came out a couple of years ago. It's decent and you can finish a game in a few hours. It's one of only two games for the Xbox where I've completed all achievements. The iPhone version is just a more-dumbed-down version of the Xbox game.

But a lesser version of Civ is still better than most other games.

Even though it was dumbed down I really liked Revolution. It was well done for an RTS on a console and I'm hoping this encourages them to bring more Civ to Xbox.

Koreans were the reason I was unable to enjoy Starcraft online.  I think Counter Strike has killed people in Asia before as well.
