Pitching duel underway in Kissimmee.  Both Lester and Oswalt have posted 3 scoreless frames, yielding only 2 hits each.

Oswalt issued his first walk of the game in the 4th, and then cleaned that up with a double play ball.  0-0 mid 4.  Oswalt 9-2 GO / FO (1 K).

Roy looked very good and was helped tremendously by several nice DPs. Lindstrom in now. He looks good, too, and is confounding batters with his breaking ball.

This may qualify for a conspiracy theory but I think some of Roy's problems last year were because he pitched in that world tournament. There seems to be a pattern of pitchers having "off" years when doing so.

In the 4th, Lee scored from 3rd on the wildest pitch in living memory a wild pitch.  Also, Matsui singled and came home, after getting moved to 3rd by Towles single, when Lee grounded into the easiest double play in living memory a double play.

Pitching staff still getting it done.  Working on a 3-hit shut out with Wright on the hill in the 9th.

Wesley gave up a double and a walk (thankfully, in that order), and closed it out.  4-hit shutout, 3-0 Astros (Kata got doubled-in to score an insurance run in the 8th).
