Ticket for Tonight's Game
« on: April 23, 2009, 03:27:44 pm »
I have a spare ticket for tonight's game, Section 232 (Club level).  It's free to anyone who wants to join Homer and I can snag the ticket with a speedy PM.  The only pre-requisite being that you'll have to act as referee and human shield in the event that Homer and I start talking politics.

It's directly facing the sun, so be ready with shades, a hat and, of course, your broom.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

I think I'll just go ahead and write the recap now.

The ticket is gone.  Look for Limey, Homer and DVauthrin leading the Manny-baiting.

Homer called me today asking about drinking establishments around the stadium. I have no idea why he thought I might be a useful reference. Anyway, I was under the distinct impression that he was taking a date to the game. Well, hell, maybe he is.

Poor DVauthrin. This may prove to be a terrible mistake on his part.

I believe the correct term, per Mrs Cartman, is "Ménage au Three".

I'm a little concerned that we haven't heard from Limey, Homer, or DVauthrin today. I wonder if the despair of another shutout was too much.

C'mon, we're only on pace for 30 of them.

It was fun, other than the shutout business.    Limey repeatedly noted the stars of the game were both center fielders.   Bourn and Kemp dazzled with the leather.

It was also sad and weird to see Hunter Pence have a much better at bat than Lance Berkman in a key situation.

That makes completely no sense whatsoever.  If you truly had the hots for the beer chick you should have drank waaaay more than two beers.

But think about how charming that third beer would've made you...
Drinking for two.
