Because I'm out of market I am forced to watch this one on WGN.

It amazes me how they can go from saying Jim Edmonds is a bum to having a major stiffy for him in just the matter of one night.

I couldn't agree more...there are ways to stop it.  It'll take a line shot back at him though.

Ok, Ramirez just reached out to pull another outside pitch over the fence. Let's a few on his fists next time, ok?

That was a big out to end that inning with Lee on deck.

I guess its safe to say Lance isn't quite locked in like he had been for the last few weeks.  Swinging at bad pitches for the last two nights.  He seems anxious at the plate.

Well, he swung and missed at two very hittable fastballs that time.

Bourn is hitting .200, WTF is he doing on the team?  Eh?  Oh.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

That's two catches by Bourn tonight that Edmonds may have made...with his face in the dirt.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Edmonds was still gliding over for that one - Bourn would have been there standing still for 2 or 3 seconds.

Valverde knows you're supposed to throw it towards the plate, right?

...yes, apparently he does. Nice pitch.

SWEET!  Nice outing by Sampson!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Raymond "Hehe... nice indeed"

Quiet night in the GZ...

Business dinner.  I would excuse myself from the table every once and awhile to sneak back to the bar area to watch the game.  Missed all the scoring but caught enough of the Chris Sampson outing to see he was very on tonight.

coop got the most out of him he could tonight.   it was the right move to go to brocail after the 4 pitch walk to the rookie PH(his 2nd career at bat) so kudos to cooper and sampson tonight.

JD called it. Take that Anaheim Jimmy.

Bourn showed him how to go get 'em in CF, without running around like a blindfolded fat lady on YouTube.
