I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

i don't think longhorns have too much reason to gloat here, because we would have gladly had this kid and given him the keys to the offense had he not jerked us around.  sure it feels good to see him get his comeuppance, but if everybody had their way this would have been austin's train wreck instead of baton rouge's.

Ahhh, Remy finally got his Glow In The Dark Board Police Badge in the mail. How many box tops did you have to send in to get it?

Forgive me if the former phpbb moderator in me gets a little annoyed by the influx of completely non-bb threads in the TZ lately, immediately after a new forum was opened up specifically for such topics.  But if I'm truly the only one bothered, then I'll just shut up and go eat my animal crackers.

Ouch.  Best thing my alma mater though.

Young gun Jarrett Lee from Brenham has a real shot to be the starter this fall.

Miles had to do it. It's for the best. I hope that young man gets his life straight.

I'll hope for it, but I won't expect it.

Damn right Miles had to do it.  RP failed a drug test.  Miles did not want to do it nor would he have otherwise.  Perrilloux had numerous incidents at LSU and violated Miles' "zero tolerance" policy only to be suspended during the offseason.

Miles recruited and kept Prentiss Elliott -- a known gangbanger who was basically unrecruitable.  He was a member of a Tulsa gang called the "G Units".  He even assaulted cop at the halftime of a high school basketball game (he was ultimately convicted).  None of that bothered Leslie.  He   Gundy kicked off Elliott and about 4 other idiots shortly after taking over for Leslie.

If Perrilloux ends up playing at Grambling or Southern next fall, then I'm going to get to collect on a number of side-bets laid back in the spring of 2005.
