I can't stand the guy after his comments post Rose Bowl after UT came away victorious....

However he was partying at his own home for god's sake.  It's not as if he was getting wasted out in public or at a less than reputable establishment that enacts a pole-tax.  It isn't even close to being football season when this could directly take a toll on him from a physical standpoint and translate to his on field performance.

Seems to be a situation of a football reporter with nothing to report and trying their best to come up with something

how do you know?  do you know him?  if given the chance, would you not hang out in a hot tub with hot girls during the offseason of your job?

Just my opinion (not worth much), from his actions, demeanor and things he's said. As for the second thing, of course. But he's the qb of a major franchise and he should've made damn sure that there weren't any cameras taking pictures of him doing the Frank the Tank, beer bong thing with a young girl.

Why?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Why?

For practical reasons. He's already been a benched for his play on the field.

what does that have to do with hanging out drinking with some chicks during the offseason? Just let the guy be. Who cares what fun he gets up to?

I could give a fuck what he does. I just think it's funny that he's big enough of an idiot that the owner of the Cardinals publically chastised him today and that they might not re-sign him after his contract runs up. He's not a regular guy, he's the face (or was orginally going to be) of a multi-million dollar franchise.

The girl hugging Leinart is friends with a girl I work with's sister. She's 19, attends Arizona State and is from The Woodlands. She has already been contacted by Leinart's agent and given a list of things she can and can't say to the media.

I'm sorry, but If I could score 19 year olds at 36, I probably would.

At 24, it's a no doubter.

At 24 it wouldn't even be a question for me too.

But, let's say that you're the star hitter for the Houston Astros, a public figure. Would you be okay with pictures being taken with your awareness of you personally serving alcohol to an underage girl, and with those pictures becoming one of the most talked about stories on sports radio across the nation for at least one day, leading the owner and manager of the franchise to publically question your behavior, lessening the chances of getting your contract renewed, even after being benched for your play on the field? Leinart seems oblivious to all of that.

If it was baseball it wouldn't matter, because the contracts are guaranteed.  And then you go play for the Yankees.

Granted, I am only vaguely aware of the circumstances of this thing, mainly because I don't care, but wasn't the party on his private property?

There is also the HIGH probability that the girl lied about her age.  Girls do that.

There is also the possibility that he didn't care.

Also, the formula for the socially acceptable dating age ((.5*your age)+7) seems to work out for a 24 year old to bang date a 19 year old.

I'm not sure, but I foresee a Bill James socially acceptable dating age Excel spreadsheet being published on gorrillamask.net sometime soon.
