Instead of making the drive up to Round Rock for the game as planned, I got stuck at work with the same problem as a few NL teams (don't have any good closers)
I listened to Mike Capps instead (sorry JD, I was watching, and the volume was turned up on all the other Tvs).
Capps had some really good stuff tonight. Great baseball trivia. I really enjoy listening to him.
Not so sure about the color of Skip Hall. Needs to skip on outta the Carpets by Conrad Booth(tm). Here's a snippet:
"Interesting to watch Houston here, cause when he's good, he's good, and when he's not good, he's not good"
Muecke pitched another gem, 6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 K
Sadler, in his first game in RR, had a HR in 2nd and a pair of OF nice plays. (1-3, 1 HR, 1 BB, 1 K)
Q had a temper tantrum and broke his bat (he was 0-4 with a pair of lobsters)
Felix "with the gold chain workin'" Pie went 0-4, HBP, 2 R
RR wins 3rd straight. Muecke is now 3-2. Capps mentioned an article in the Comical that quoted Ricky Bennet as saying "Muecke will pitch in the Big Leagues, it's just a matter of when" (or something to that effect, don't have a link, and I'm not a subscriber)
